Primary Job Function:
Under general supervision performs work in repairing and maintaining HVAC systems throughout Toledo Public Schools.
Minimum Qualifications: Education and Certification:
High School Graduate or G.E.D. Must possess a current City of Toledo HVAC license. Must possess a current CFC Universal Certification. Must possess valid driver’s license and be insurable under the school Board fleet insurance policy
Specific Job-Related Experience: Five (5) years or more HVAC experience preferred. Must have own hand tools. Must pass Toledo Public Schools related skills and physical standards testing
Job Duties:
Troubleshoots a variety of HVAC systems to determine nature of malfunction.
Repairs, adjusts, calibrates, maintains, and replaces controls and related equipment for a variety of HVAC systems. Maintains and repairs boilers, including relief valves, gas and oil burners, water columns, blow-down valves and piping. Tears down boilers, cleans, prepares for inspection, and restores to working condition. Repairs and replaces pumps pertaining to HAVC system, fans, blowers, dampers, valves, motors, compressors and controls. Instructs new operators on preventive maintenance for HVAC plant and related equipment. Assist electricians in the repair and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment. Other related duties as assigned. |
