Qualifications
Must be licensed throught the Ohio Dept of Education to teach Family Consumer Science-
Licensure code: 230000 (Home Economics)
OR
Qualify for a Supplemental License in Career-Technical Workforce Development in one of the following as outlined in Section 3.2.1 of A Guide for Licensing Candidates in Career-Technical Education
a. Culinary Arts
b. Early Childhood Education
c. Hotels and Resorts
Functions/Duties
*Follow the FCS Content Standard as well as the Toledo Public Schools FCS Course of Study
*Be able to function as a high school teacher using proper discipline techniques according to TPS discipline codes as well as application of appropriate discipline techniques
*Maintain lesson plans according to the FCS Content Standard
*Maintain an Advisory Committee (strongly recommended)
*Participate in FCCLA as an advisor
*Integrate core subjects into the FCS curriculum |
