** This position is shared between YTC and Woodward High School (.5 of each day at each location)**
The Lucas County Youth Treatment Center (YTC) opened in 1995 and is located in Toledo, Ohio. The secured center holds up to 32 beds and cares for male and female offenders from throughout the state.
Teachers are expected to work in a team environment where working together is paramount to ensure the safety of staff and residents.
Applicants must have completed:
1 ~ a teacher education program and have a teaching license issued by the State of Ohio Department of Education to teach Science grades 7-12 (Integrated Science preferred).
OR
2 ~ enrolled in the Ohio Alternative Resident Educator Licensure Pathway and have a statement of eligibility issued by the Office of Educator Licensure and Effectiveness showing verification of eligibility for the Alternative Resident Educator license.
**Salary scale is based on years of experience and degree held. New teachers can bring up to 10 years of verified teaching experience.**
