Please note, while this position is part of the TFT bargaining unit, it is paid on a different pay scale as it does not require a teaching license. Pays into SERS - not STRS.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 30 quarter or 20 semester hours in child development/preschool program planning and methods, including a supervised practicum with preschool children
Specific Job-Related Experience:
- Have knowledge and experience in the philosophy and practices of Head Start (or comparable child development programs), early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practice, and bilingual education.
- Have education or experience in collaborating with parents in the education of their children
